Say Cheese PHX is an unofficial, independent service operated by an individual. It is not affiliated with the City of Phoenix.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only your US mobile phone number when you opt in to receive alerts. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To send you a one-time verification code when you sign up.
  • To send you SMS alerts when Phoenix traffic camera locations change.
  • To process opt-out requests when you reply STOP.

3. Mobile Number Non-Sharing

We will not sell, rent, share, or disclose your mobile phone number to any third party for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. Your number is used exclusively to deliver the alerts you subscribed to.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You will receive one verification code at sign-up. After that, you will receive an alert only when camera locations change — typically 0–4 messages per month, depending on city activity. We do not send scheduled or promotional messages.

5. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan.

6. Opt-Out

Reply STOP to any message at any time to permanently unsubscribe. You may also click the unsubscribe link included in every alert. After opting out, your phone number is deleted from our records. Reply HELP for assistance.

7. Data Retention

We retain your phone number only while you are an active subscriber. Once you opt out, your number is immediately and permanently deleted from our database.

8. Third-Party Services

We use Twilio to send SMS messages. Twilio's privacy policy governs how they handle data in transit. We use Neon for database hosting. No other third parties receive your phone number.

9. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information. Phone numbers are stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.
